Everything You Need to Know About iOS 26: Enhancements and Customization

New Customization Features for the Lock Screen

To enable this feature, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings and tap Wallpaper.
- Select Customize on your chosen lock screen.
- Tap the hexagon icon in the bottom right corner to activate the spatial effect.
It’s important to note that this feature works exclusively with personal photos and not those provided by Apple, such as the built-in Weather and Emoji collection.

A relatively subtle update, iOS 26 also revamps the color of controls located at the bottom of your lock screen. This change is automatically applied, meaning all you need to do is add a colorful control or create your own to bring some vibrancy to the interface.
